Re: Keyboard Settings "EditChannelLeft" & "Right" are backwa
Sorry - you are not understanding what I am saying because the settings are not correct. But that's okay. I set my hotkey for the Left channel under the Right channel in the settings dialog. And the Right channel hotkey I set up controls the Left channel. I'm fine with it being backwards, because I ...

Re: Keyboard Settings "EditChannelLeft" & "Right" are backwa
This was changed with multichannel support. The keys activate the menu Edit | Channel | Left and Edit | Channel | Right , which have checkmarks. So does this mean you've corrected the keyboard settings dialog? Will there be an update, then? Just so you didn't misunderstand, I was talking about the ...

Keyboard Settings "EditChannelLeft" & "Right" are backwards
FYI to programmers: The Keyboard Settings for "EditChannelLeft" and "EditChannelRight" are backwards. I adjusted the hotkey accordingly for my use, but I wanted you to know.

Re: Size of Toolbar Icons
I liked that you added a choice for small icons, but for some reason there was no choice for showing the captions like there is for the large icons. I guess I'm spoiled to how nice the program used to be. Match Volume doesn't show both channels when editing only the right or left. SHowing both chann...

Re: Size of Toolbar Icons
The larger icons are to compensate for the higher screen resolutions available today (not the "little tykes" as you put it). Due to higher DPI settings and Microsoft's autoscaling, the icons may be even larger than they should be. Recent versions of GoldWave have a setting to adjust the s...

Size of Toolbar Icons
I haven't updated GW for a year or so because they screwed up my window/toolbar interface and I went back to 5.68. I need to re-visit this so I know whether or not it is safe to update. When the programmers (some of the very best in the business so far as I know) enlarged the icons representing the ...

Re: Can GW edit audio in video file (MKV)?
Thanks for the reply. I actually solved the problem using Goldwave, Avidemux and AVS Video Editor. It may seem complex with three different apps, but it is really quick and easy. Here is how I do it: For example, edit out the ‘hummm’ in the audio track of a video (MKV, AVI, etc.). 1. Open video file...

Can GW edit audio in video file (MKV)?
I have Goldwave but I don't think it can edit a video files audio. If it can, will someone tell me how? I need to reduce hum in several MKV files.
If not Goldwave, how else can I fix the hum in a video file?
Any help will be appreciated!

Re: New Versions Royally Screwed Up
Sorry ... and thanks. I am back to using 5.7 now. I was up to v6.15 and when applying update 6.19, that's when the settings were wiped out - never happened before. Restoring settings didn't work because the XML file it was looking for was nowhere to be found after installing 6.19. Some apps, when th...

New Versions Royally Screwed Up
As with a lot of software, the engineers get bored and start adding a bunch of crap and taking away valuable functions/tools/options, etc. Now GW 6.15 and up (probably even further back) has gigantic pretty girly icons on the toolbars - and no control of them at all other than choosing which tools. ...

Re: Maintain HISTORY of Edits
Thanks for the info. I did not know I could right click on the Undo button.
I have v5.7 of Goldwave but it says there are no upgrades/updates available. When will v6 be available?
I hope in v6 that the edit descriptions are more verbose/specific.
Nice!

Maintain HISTORY of Edits
I love Goldwave and use it as my only editor - have done so for years. One thing that is ALWAYS frustrating is when I want to back up to a certain stage in my edits to a single file (mp3). If you use Paint.Net, you can view a complete history of all the edits made in the current session to any speci...
