device sampling rate is off
For the first time, I ran a test since Goldwave was playing via my speakers and not my headphones, and I wanted to test the output. However, testing results in the message "Device sampling rate is off by more than X% from system clock.". The number varies. Should I be concerned? Everything...

Re: WavPack Support?
You can save-as WAV/IEEE Float Signed 32-bit, then use another tool to compress to WavPack. There is a higher range (32 bit) and converting to Flac would cut out data. I doesn't cut-out anything audible . The guys who do blind ABX tests have pretty-much proven that "CD quality" is better ...

Re: WavPack Support?
A large number of DJs I know save to the format for reasons that are unclear to me, but since Flac doesn't support it I have been compressing with Wavpack. There is a higher range (32 bit) and converting to Flac would cut out data. Not what I want when archiving. I tried installing the WavPack Direc...

WavPack Support?
I have a few files that are compressed with WavPack since Flac refuses to support PCM Floating-Point audio and I need to archive projects as lossless as possible.
Is it possible for Goldwave to support this file format in the future? It's open and royalty-free.

Re: Probably a silly question.
To be honest, it's mostly my OCD. The new icon doesn't look quite "right" while I'm working and I'm super-used to the original, it looked very clean and professional. I'm not certain if Goldwave could support multiple theme like other programs do, but if that ever happens, the original des...

Probably a silly question.
I'm... not really a fan of the new program icon and start screen. Actually, I've downgraded to 6.45 for the time being. Is there a way to preserve the old options while running the new version? Not certain if I might be able to just swap some files from the old build into the new.

Improvement for batch processing?
I have a mess of cds I've ripped to.flac, we're talking over 300. I'd like to be able to convert them with the batch processor, to a new folder, but keeping the same folder layout as the source. In other words, placing a copy of the folder in the new source destination. That way I can easily copy an...

Re: Prevent export of artwork when saving MP3 from loaded vi
I have this same program creating .ogg files when converting .flac if there's album art in the source folder.
The artwork often is too large for my portable player to process resulting in crashes.
This should NEVER be an automatic option, and should be opt-in only.

Re: FLAC 1.3.2 released
When the new build is released, a way to choose Flac compression level would be neat. I batch convert most of my files to flac, and some of them I'd like to do level 8 compression on. No idea what setting Goldwave uses.

FLAC 1.3.2 released
FLAC 1.3.2 was just released. What's the best way to update the codec used by Goldwave, or is it internal?

Re: Some old aifc files won't work
Looks like it's a problem with the 64 build, which explains why it worked fine on an older version of Goldwave back when I ran Windows 7 64... back then Goldwave hadn't made the 64 leap. Direct from dev e-mail: "AIFC files usually contain compressed audio using an Apple specific encoder that is...

Some old aifc files won't work
So, here's my problem. I'm trying to work with a bunch of files from an older game. The audio plays in Quicktime 7.7.9, but most other WIndows 10 programs won't accept it. The files are in aifc format. I need to batch convert them. A lot of them. We're talking hundreds of files. https://mega.nz/#!Pt...

Re: Webm support?
SUPER might be able to extract the audio and convert it to WAV, but if you want to try it, the free version of SUPER tries to install crapware when you install it. So be careful about what you click on when you install it, and run your anti-malware after installing it. I'd rather avoid the risk of ...

Webm support?
I have a few video files in Webm format that I want to extract the audio from, but Goldwave can't detect the settings and I end up with a mess of static and slowed down audio. Any chance the format could be supported in a future build?
