Feature Request: Smart Insert/Cut of intervals with auto-align rhyhtm beat
It occurs occasionally that I want to cut a certain interval from a loaded pop song. Or - alternatively - insert a MP3 chunk from clipboard into the mid of a loaded pop song. It works - more or less - physically. The problem is that sometimes the rhythm meter beat between the part before a cut point...

Save current audio as *.AAC not possible?
I have a *.mp4 video with (AVC H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec) whose audio track should be edited on some small intervalls. So I dragged the *.mp4 video file onto GW, then edited the audio track and finally wanted to save it as *.aac (for later remuxing into the original video file) But when ...

How to drag & drop/import *.webm videos?
Yes, I can import/drag & drop *.mp4 videos successfully into GW (and export e.g. *.mp3 audio tracks).
But how can I import/drag & drop new *.webm videos?
it seems to me that GW does not understand this new video standard.
is there a plugin for WEBM?

How to shrink ONLY spikes of a wave form?
At first have a look at the sample waveform of a song: https://snipboard.io/T3kO0Z.jpg As you can see there are many almost silent parts and some spikes in between. I want to reduce ONLY all spike heights (=volume) by lets say 20%. Therefore I could mark each spike as an interval and reduce the volu...

Re: Unwanted stop at cut point when playing
You'll just need to allow playback to continue and adjust the view as necessary so only part of the file is played rather than move the marker. What do you mean exactly with "allow playback"? Assume a starting situation like the one in the snapshot above: 1.) Now I press delete key (=the ...

Re: Unwanted stop at cut point when playing
Did you use fast forward or drag the playback marker? If so, that would reset the playback mode. You'll need to let it play. This seems to be the reason: Yes, I dragged multiple times the playback marker back. Of cause I need to listen how the music sounds (at the cutpoint) if I would delete the ma...

Re: Unwanted stop at cut point when playing
This does not work. Have a look at the attached snapshot. I assigned 'Unselected' to the second play control. When I click on it in toolbar then GW starts playing in the unselected part and continues to play INSIDE the selected interval. So no jump to the second unselected part. When I delete the se...

Re: Unwanted stop at cut point when playing
ok, thank you. but what means "Have you looked into setting one of the playback buttons to "Unselected" mode? " Which settings do you mean exactly? Do you mean menu Options-->Control properties-->Tab 'Play' ....and then? Currently its here: Play 1: All Play 2: Selection Play 3: C...

Unwanted stop at cut point when playing
To understand the problem following the steps below: 1. Load a *.mp3 file into Goldwave 2. Mark a (short) interval in the mid of the song and delete it e.g.(by pressing DEL) 3. Put the vertical line/green arrow indicating the current play position left of the cut point 4. Start playing from this pos...

How to increase bass in a *.mp3?
I have loaded a MP3 song whose bass part is very poor and puny. is there a way how I can emphasize this part? The volume of (only) the basses should be somehow increased. Similarly I want to optimize another MP3. Its difficult the express: The song should become more clearer (for this song for the f...

How to import Toolbar (and other) settings from previous GW installation?
I saved all *.xml files from my old GW installation on the Desktop PC and uninstalled GW from it. Now I installed GW on my Notebook and want to import the previous settings (especially the toolbar customization). Therefore I copied the old GoldWave.xml and GWPreset.xml files over the corresponding i...
