Re: v6.51 Save after Undo doesn't work
Ah, Ha!!! Well, aren't you tricky. I never knew about that setting. I might have expected that kind of thing be be automagically checked, instead of having us track that down. Nevertheless, thanks for pointing that out...

Re: v6.51 Save after Undo doesn't work
Chris - First of all, let us clear the air here and look at this correctly. The Title of the problem is wrong. It should be "Undo after Save doesn't work". I just opened a MP3 file in Goldwave 6.52. Chopped the file in half (went from 4 minutes down to 2 minutes as my example). Clicked SAV...

Re: Ribbon line flickers
So, if it does that regardless of the version on GoldWave; have you kept your O/S up to date? Is the monitor tired? (getting old)? Does it ONLY do that when you run GoldWave? Chris might appreciate a bit more information...

Re: why g6.36 x64 can't open this mp3 whereas g5.70 x32 can
I can download it just fine. I ONLY use version 5.70 of GoldWave, and it loads in that version just fine also. It also plays in my favorite music player - WinAmp 5.8. I was also able to edit the file - add a graphic to the file - which also shows up in WinAmp. It was a large file to download - being...

I've been writing programs since 1965. Rarely do we (in the professional world) encounter one so rude as YOU, Mister HiSpeed. If you don't like it, then simply LEAVE - and we'll all be happy - including YOU.

Well, I have heard from Chris (a few times) mention that his development environment is in the Windows arena. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for your wish. On the other hand - if those features you mention are ALL YOU WANT, there are probably some good alternatives to get you to your goal.

Re: Gratitude for years of Goldwave use
I have to say Congratulations to Chris for his GoldWave product for passing 25 years in existence! I first encountered GW about 22 years ago (plus or minus). I was involved in a project to make a few company web training videos. That, and coupled with my previous life as a musician, I have over 160,...

Re: Converting a library of audiobooks for blind people
I am really perplexed as th WHY you would want to convert MP3 VOICE files to WAV. ?!?!? You did say Audio Books, correct? Mostly Voice? Voice files don't need that much "fidelity". I have taken audio CDs and converted them to MP3s using GoldWave many times. I do that to place all the CDs o...

When I searched for that EXACT string I gave you (Windows 10 version 1709 Audio fade in), here is the first link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/after-installing-windows-10-fall-creators-update/12ac5b52-96d2-4dc3-aa16-cedeea6ccbfd?auth=1 In clicking on s...

Re: preventing fade-ins with Wasapi, especially in Gold Wave
I believe that you are totally correct about the fade in (and out) for Windows 10 1709. It is documented on the Micro$oft website. They say to install (re-install) your audio driver in Compatibility Mode. I guess that means your Realtech.. ??? I do not use Realtech for my driver. AND - I am still on...

Re: May i have a spectrum full window in the cotrol panel?
Not by using GoldWave. But, you could download this piece of image editing software (FREE).
https://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/?ex=DSK-347.1
Then, if you want, it will let you enlarge up to 10K x 10K pixels if you want.

When I display my Control Panel, I do not make it part of the menu bars. Separate the Control Panel from your menu bar, and you will find the "Standard Window" Maximize, Minimize, and exit controls in the upper right-hand corner. You can then make the control Panel fill your whole screen.

Re: What Keyboards do you Use?
Most people will dislike my choice for keyboards. I pay $3.99 for my keyboards from Micro Center. When they get dirty, or a key sticks, I simply toss it in the trash, and get a new one out of the stack of 4 or 5 sitting on my shelf. So that way, you guys with your expensive keyboards cannot replace ...

Re: MaxMatch without the maximize
Well Dew, I had that happen to me (sorta) years ago when I was recording some friends in concert. I simply went to another area in the song and copied and pasted - while fixing up both ends of the splice. Your actual case may be different - if this isn't a song. You may be correct, and this is somet...
