Re: Password checking
Thanks for answering. I knew there would be some headache with it. I checked in Firefox saved passwords but what I saw in there when trying to copy it manually into goldwave didn't work. I can always redo it. And yes I have a recipe box full of these things-- must be a couple hundred-- to go through...

Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
Progress. In the icons I found SET by going through the descriptions at '1-2-3' and yes, I got a screen change. Then I got lost in the following steps: how to get back to select all etc. So just staying on SET, when my selection is made for 00:00:00.000 - 00:00:30.000 can I just finally SAVE from th...

Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
Still lost. I don't see a screen change to select/highlight. What selects anything? All this is just for the first minute or so. The index moves to right and then I need to select that portion. The change is indicated numerically at the bottom but doesn't do anything. I don't try to use these things...

Password checking
I have just gone through a bunch of old passwords that failed from resetting on Goldwave.
I would like to see the one that logs on and works (normally shown with a winking eye or some such).
I'll see if Firefox recorded it.

Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
Spectrum analylizer is an interesting tool. I'll make a scteen shot. The image shows a flatline at 440 Kz where the tone
starts at beginning of the audio. I don't see the option to add an attachment in the usual way (?) I'll make the screen shot in any case.

Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
Thanks for answering I am all thumbs in using sound programs. I tried to just make a simple clip and failed. The best example of the hum is at the start of the 128 minute piece before any voice starts. I couldn't manage to highlight and save the first minute or so. That should be easy right? I think...

Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
On this, so far I have just demuxed the audio and saved as a WAV which I recall being the best to work with.

Remove a tone that runs through a video
I found a quite old and rough version of a play that may have been recorded from a television. It's credited to BBC Two for the content. Anyway can Goldwave tools remove or greatly suppress what sounds like a 60 Hz electrical signal tone from an audio file? How can I get the exact frequency to remov...

Re: Sizing Sound Window Goldwave 6.35
Maybe I used Control A instead of Shift A-- all I know is what I did failed to work right.

Re: Sizing Sound Window Goldwave 6.35
not hijacking a thread but a piggy back. After not using GW for some time, coming back to it always seems like starting over. My sizing window problem is similar. I have tried to get through the long index of options and whatnot. When it looks like I've found the right Control key-- Cntl +A to ask f...

Re: Goldwave won't install properly on second computer
A solution, or lack of one has worked. The problem was bad blocks on a hard drive which, no matter what the install, I believe had an error in corrupt files in Windows 7. I went to a backup drive and just using that as the main. The HD bad block problem means "Danger will Robinson! Buy New, Buy...

Re: Goldwave won't install properly on second computer
I was back on this for a bit today. Some of my video audio content will demux fine in Goldwave. I can mark this solved since I believe the file being scanned by Goldwave -- the audio portion -- cannot be read once certain audio treatments are done, then converted to MP3 and reassembled with the vide...

Re: Goldwave won't install properly on second computer
I have another thing to explore which may be a factor. But on a direct AAC (and these terms I'm not well aquanted with,) on the old install all this is drag and drop. Never had to think about it. And I've done none of the things mentioned. KLite or something was unproductive and I removed it complet...
