GoldWave 5.51 Install Problem

Alangee,
I've had the same problem. You found a microsoft update fix. Can you tell what microsoft file to dowload to take care of this situation?
Thanks for any help!
Cheers,

Hi, There's an excellent free program that will do what you want. It's called MP3Gain and can be downloaded at: www.mp3gain.sourceforge.net Its an excellent and widely used program to accomplish volume levelling. It does this with MP3 files so there's no MP3/WAV conversion necessary. Try it I'm sure...

Hi, One that works very for me is called DePopper (www.depopper.com) it depops AND decliks. Not only is it good but it's reasonably priced as well---around $18.00. For general noise reduction and other actions, GoldWave is the best, so you may want to use DePopper in conjunction with GoldWave. Hope ...

Thanks Holtram, I've got GoldWave v5.22. I've tried the scroll lock and that doesn't seem to work. If there's a way to do I'd sure like to know about it. On some files I'd like to watch the WAV scroll while its recording. I could then note, perhaps by using the file time frame, any problematic areas...

Scrolling while recording

Hi, Would it be at all possible to implement such a feature? I've tried using the "Control" window but it uses too much of my CPU. Now when I start recording, the record window starts to scroll as the WAV file is accumulated but quits after it reaches the right side. The ability to have th...

Hi,
I agree with Holtram in that 32kbps is quite adequate for voice or radio encoding. I have herds of old radio shows and the 32kbps setting gives good results.

Issue Seems Resolved

Hello, These files were recorded as WAV files with GoldWave and were a good distance from 2GB (much, much less). Running them through the "Noise Reduction" filter first did the trick for the "Pop/Click" because it then filtered them with no problems! All's well that ends well. I ...

Error Message Solved (I Think)

Thanks to all of you out there about to lend a hand and to all of you who were just curious! I think I've solved the problem with the error message. I first ran the "Noise Reduction" filter and then the "Pop/Click" filter. That seems to have done the trick. It seems that I should...

Error Message

Hokay, I've captured some music files off a cassette tape and am working on restoration. When I'm proceeding with the "Pop/Click" filter the fix will go about 2/3rds of the way through the files and then I get the error message: "Could Not Seek To A Position Within The File". I'v...
