Chris... thanks, that DID alleviate the problem. I re-did a lot of animations that I was doing from the Ray-Tracer... to various formats (MPG, WMV, AVI)... THIS time, I used your suggestion and also experimented quite a bit with the framerate. Now I can make an MPG that "loops well" (or ra...

Re: MPG 320x240 = 292x240?

The new version of GoldWave (v5.5+) downloads and installs the correct version of the LAME encoder automatically. I've had significantly less technical support questions about LAME since the update, which seems to suggest that the new version is much better in that respect. Chris The built-in LAME ...

Chris;

Thanks; I've made a note of that pasted it into my "home made video tutorials for animating from the Ray Tracer".

I will experiment later.

Chris;

Thanks, I have just downloaded GW 5.52 then. I will update shortly.

That isn't *specifically* mentioned on the website history / features list; 5.5+ updating the LAME encoder automatically.

MPG "terminal lag", "black frames"

(1) No matter how I set it up, MPGs created with Multiquence seem to have a very pronounced lag at the end of the animation. I am generating animations from a sequence of BMP still images. It is of course most noticeable with animations that were meant to "loop". Watching the Media Player ...

For my question(s) on adding a soundtrack... after some experimenting, I stumbled on a methodology that works well. After generating a series of BMP images in the ray tracer, I examine them, and make a note of exactly where I want sound effects *in relation to the frame numbers* (actually the file n...

I stumbled upon the answer to this... while making an MPG, set the aspect ratio to "Square Pels".

WMV bitrate? (etc)

I am using Multiquence to create animations from Raytraced image sequences. Generally the images are "ultra photorealistic" and "clearer" with "no noise", compared to most of the video work that is probably done by Multiquence. Imagine animating a cartoon, frame by fram...

MPG 320x240 = 292x240?

Hi, All Multiquence version : 2.55 Goldwave version: 5.25 OS: Vista Home Premium 64 (After just now reading about some problems with LameEnc here in the forum, with newer versions of GoldWave, I WILL NOT be upgrading past GoldWave 5.25... I just don't want to deal with the headache of finding a new ...

Desperately in need of a Video Tutorial

Most of my work will be RayTraced animations with no sound, though occasionally I might add sound effects or even an entire soundtrack. Basically it is taking a long sequence of images (in .PNG format) at 320x240, 640x480, 800x600 or 1024x768 and making a movie out of them. For actual examples of mo...

Maybe Vista...

It may be a fluke in Vista, or possibly even in my computer then (this machine was custom built by a local yokel OEM builder in Abilene, Texas, I am not completely pleased with everything he did). Maybe a combination of OS > Motherboard > Drivers. I DID manage to re-create the error. A clue: so far,...

Thanks!

GoldWaveInc: Thanks, that works just fine! (Why didn't I think of that? (knocking myself in the head) Problem is I started as a computer hobbyist circa ~ 1978 or so, and there are times when I "Think Like DOS"). I made a few videos after I read your reply. MOST of the time, I could drag th...

TIP: CPU Min/Max Freq

I stumbled into what might be called a "newbie" error today. I'm posting here for the benefit of others, and GoldWave Inc might consider posting something of this into online documentation and the next version Help. I've been using Multiquence for about two days now - my main use to is to ...

Minor Bug - big batch of images

If you open Multiquence, and attempt to add a new section, and this section consists of a long directory of images, sometimes the load terminates with an error : "Could not open file! *" (where '*' sometimes appears, and it is a random character(?)). The "threshold" that causes a...

GoldWave and Multiquence; WinVista 64 bit

Okay - I have installed and registered GoldWave and Multiquence, and "installed" the Lame DLL into GoldWave and Multiquence, and "installed" bbMPEG into Multiquence. Basically - NO PROBLEMS NOTED - Goldwave and Multiquence seem to be working just fine under WinVista Home Premium ...
