Thank you Chris. I had no idea those options were available.
And I hope you had success bmelton. A very valuable, but completely unlistenable raw audio file sat in my computer for more than a year. Using the functions that Chris pointed out above recovered the audio. Never dispair.

A flatline file is not a good sign, bmelton. As Chris said, your audio-in might not have been properly connected or active. But I've dealt with many corrupted files in the few years that I've been using GW and have acquired a few tricks. GW has limited raw data import facilities and once it has been...

Flac, ape, ...shn?

I was more than pleasantly suprised to find support for .flac and .ape compressions in my latest upgrade of GoldWave. Although .shn (Shorten) has lost favour recently as the prefered compressed format, it's still in such wide use that a plugin would certainly be a welcome addition.
