OK thank you! Yes, I had an "automaton" in mind which would would split a master track of multiple cuts into individual files...no problem there using "Q" points. The problem is that each track split out from the master begins and ends with no less than 4 seconds of full-level ap...

Macro to roll audio up at beginning and down at end?
If I wish to use a macro to roll audio up from zero to 6 seconds in at the beginning of a music track and begin rolling audio down to zero 6 seconds prior to the end of a track, I cannot seem to find a process that will work for me. What obvious choice am I missing?

Is anybody aware of a code reader that can look at the code at the end of a music file (mp3, wma or cda) as part of the process of determining if there is a missing or altered command which usually sends the reading device on to the next file?

Thank you for the reply. In the past few minutes, I've discovered that I didn't read part of the window that pops up when a selection is made as to where the rip should be saved. I've just updated from version 5.23 to version 5.52, and have noticed that when I use the CD Tool in Goldwave to rip a CD, I have WAV files saved on the drive instead of the MP3 files I used to have.
