Re: How to loop section of audio track

Would you mind walking me through the process? The original song is over 7 minutes long. I am splitting the file at the perceived beginning point of where I want to loop. So now I have Track 001.wav, Track 002.wav and Track 003.wav. Track 002 is what I want to loop so I split that again, copy, paste...

Re: How to loop section of audio track

I am doing the copying the file then merging the 2 files. Just as you said, the hardest part is getting at the right place for a clean loop. What do you mean by playback loop settings? I am somewhat of a novice with goldwave.

How to loop section of audio track

I have a song that is an electronic, trance type song where there is a 40 second section that I would like to splice it into itself. I am not sure if splice is the right term, but I essentially want to extend that section so it loops back to double the length of it and then place the doubled (extend...

Re: Lame encoder problem

I don't see where the "all users" folder is. I see C:\Users and then 2 folders: one is "public" and the other one is my name.

Lame encoder problem

I have Goldwave 5.70. Right now when I save a wav file to .mp3 goldwave is using lame 3.98. I want to use the latest lame encoder which is 3.99.5 which I downloaded. I followed the instructions and have placed the lame_enc.dll file in the goldwave folder and also the windows system32 folder but GW s...

I am getting good results with shape volume...yes it is tedious and more work, but yields the best results.

One other question. Are you saying to first maximize the entire track using volume maximize, then use the compressor to reduce peaks and loud parts, then maximize again with volume maximize?

For the most part, the voice narration and music is separate. What I first tried was selecting the narration part and maximizing that part, which definitely helped. But then there was a noticeable jump in volume from the maximized narration to the music part.

Normalizing volume levels

I have Peter & The Wolf audio files that is narrated by Sting and integrated with classical music. The problem is that the music is at a much higher volume level than the voice. I would like to know what the best way to bring up the voice volume level so I don't have to constantly play with the ...

That did the trick. I noticed if I do not first trim each track, the merged track has a glitch at the merged areas. But all it took was trimming just .2 seconds off each track and the merged file then plays without any tick or glitch.

Thank you.

Seamlessly join mp3??

Please forgive me if this post is redundant, but I wasn't sure if someone read my reply to my other post. Here is what I am looking to do, but am having trouble doing. I am talking about a mixed, seamless album of nonstop trance music called Traqnceport where Paul Oakenfold mixes 11 tracks into each...

Let me explain a little better. I am talking about a mixed, seamless album wihic is Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport. The entire album is such that each track seamlessly mixes into the next track for over an hour lf continuous, nonstop music. I do not have the cd. I downloaded the album which consists of...

Question merging files

I am merging mp3 files to make one continuous audio file. When I play the merged file, there are slight pauses or skips while transitioning from one song into the other. How can I get rid of these gaps so the transitions are seemless? I tried converting the mp3 files to wav files and then merging, b...
