Re: MARK SILENCE
I take a an audio wave file and break it up into size suitable for 1 CD. Then I run cue points MARK SILENCE on the file and finally I go through the cue points by hand to look for the chapters and I delete all the excess cue points ( some files after running mark silence I have over 200 cue points a...

MARK SILENCE
Is here any way to do MARK SILENCE in batch mode? Is there anything I could write that would do if for me
With all the improvements you are making I would hope that you would batch MARK SILENCE
I am still running 5.70 as it does everything I want except a batch for MARK SILENCE.
THanks
Judy

Do I need the Beta version of Goldwave for this work?GoldWave Inc. wrote:In recent versions of GoldWave you can use the "Add Edit" button, select "Copy", then select the "Copy from the following file" option to copy any file into the clipboard during Batch Processing.

Re: Ignorning File in Storage field
I have never found a pattern either - most times it is not a problem - but every once in while this happens. The only way to cure it is to choose anothe file for storage and then switch back to the original one.

Re: Ignorning File in Storage field
So far every time I've restarted GoldWave, the specified folder was used. Is your folder set to a removable or external drive? What folder is it set to? Chris Not using a removable drive. I have 6 internal hard drives on my system and every once in a while it get stuck on a certain directory. The o...

Re: Ignorning File in Storage field
GoldWave uses the "start" folder given under Options | Storage only when the program is started. If you go to another folder and open a file, then that folder will be used instead the next time you go to open a file. Restarting GoldWave would reset the folder again. Chris Restarting Goldw...

Ignorning File in Storage field
Every once in a while Goldwave will only open the direction I last opened, NOT the one listed in the Storage field. How can I correct this bug? Where is the data in the Storage field stored?

Thanks I was afraid that would be the answer!DougDbug wrote:I don't think there is anything you can do. There's a bit more to male/female voice than pitch (as you've found out). And even if you succeed, you'll have a monotone female voice.

Male voice to Female Voice
I have a wave file with a rather boring, monoton male voice on it, is there any way to give the voice more expression or change it to a femaler voice?
I have played around with Pitch and Time Warp but the end result is not that satisfactory.
Thanks.

Re: Error Message about Settings.
Thanks Chris - It turned out to be an installation error.
I do not install Goldwave in Program Directory but in a separate directory. and there were some problems with the separate directory.

Filer Merger - which format?
I am doing a file merger of a lot file some cassettes. Currently they are stereo files. Would I be better converting the files to Mono so I can merge more files and then convert to stereo after I break them up to sizes for a CD or should I keep the original stereo? These are cassettes from an audio ...

Error Message about Settings.
I keep getting this constant error message "Goldwave settings and Presets could not be found for the current user. Install them now?" If I say OK - I still get the message when I open a new file. I have tried reinstalling GW and that is ok but when I change Storage to another directory the...

Re: Problem with Maximize
Thank for the reply. You are correct that is my problem. However, I have decided, based on your reply, to simply delete these ticks. It is tedious but at least it does not come through on the CD. Thanks again for your thoughtful and helpful reply.

Problem with Maximize
I am having a problem with MAXIMIZE. I am using Goldwave to make digital copies of some old audiobooks on cassettes that I bought. They are library discards. After I make the recording, I run Maximize using the Full option. Sometimes it doesn’t work. So I began to investigate the wave form to see wh...
