Re: Save Position Of Control Window
Chris, Here are some tests: Trial 1: * Moved Main & Control to monitor 1. Roughly 50% vertical each. Main on L, Control on R. * Exited Goldwave. * Restarted Goldwave. Window position restored (saved). Trial 2: * Moved Main & Control to monitor 2. Roughly 50% vertical each. Main on L, Control...

Re: Save Position Of Control Window
Both 1920x1080. Same model Asus.
100% scaling, Landscape, Extended to the right.
Typically I have the Goldwave main window on the left and the control window on the right.
Perhaps a menu item, "save window settings now".
Or save Desktop/Workspace allowing named saves.
Thanks.

Save Position Of Control Window
I recently updated both of my monitors (bigger size), but cannot find where in the menu is the save window position function. Every time I start Goldwave now the control window which used to be locked onto the second monitor, now spans both. I tried to look up the manual, but there was no clear entr...

v6.56 Dialog Box "1"
Speech to text and saving file shows a dialog box of "1", with no title. I have not looked for other occurrences. Seems not to affect processes.
Updated via prompt when opening Goldwave this morning.
Goldwave v6.56. Windows 10.

Sonar every 10 seconds.
In expression evaluation, I have been trying to convert Ping, periodic, 10s y*sin(2*pi*(t%x)*f)*exp(-(t%x)*4)+wave(n) replacing ping with Sonar sin(2*pi*t*2000)*exp(-t*3)*(sin(2*pi*3*t)+sin(2*pi*23*t))/2 So I get Sonar every 10 seconds. No luck. I get one sonar for the entire track. Can an...

Parameter file missing
Suggestion: File history is available in a lot of places outside of Goldwave. One such source is Classic Shell. Sometimes these files no longer exist in the recorded location, and when used as a parameter to Goldwave to run and open the file, Goldwave runs, but gives no indication it could not load ...

Re: Recording And Unused Channels
Well, I gave it another go. Did a New and used my defaulted preset. Recorded something. Even saved it. Closed file. Then hit the instant record button. Same 5 channels, but only recording on 2. Goldwave is detecting what the system has and not what is being used.

Re: Recording And Unused Channels
Using New does not change the way the quick record (red button) works - that still defaults to 5 channels. That is the button I am chasing the configuration of. Yes the other record button will record in the new file, as you outlined, but the BIG danger is, the active sound window is used for record...

Re: Recording And Unused Channels
When you hit the record button ("Creates new file and starts recording") the number of channels is not an option. Perhaps Chris needs to redesign that dialog box. Preferably it would remember your last settings. Or include it in Options somewhere.

Recording And Unused Channels
When I record, I see 4 other channels I am not recording in (C, LFE, SL & SR). I cannot find where to drop the channels back to L (FR) & R (FR). Just Where is this option hidden? Using Goldwave 6.28.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No Sound Some Files
Goldwave is working and has done so for many years. I have some Voice Recorder files that seem to play in Media Player, but cannot in Goldwave. Some are quite large and I need to skip to where there is evidently some foreground sound. Hence the need to play these in Goldwave. I have tried the hints ...

Re: Movable tabs
I support the introduction of movable tabs. As you edit files you need to push the old version aside and modify a new version. Moving the old version to the right of a new tab makes a lot of sense. Also similar to Excel, "Duplicate a tab", where the entire contents (including cue points) o...
