And the clouds parted...
That makes sense!
Thank you so much, Chris. I will try that.

Re: Floating-point error in Spectrum Filter (6.52)
Sadly, I've not been able to get this work at all. I am always forced to close the app via the task manager once I start getting this error. I've tried files of different lengths as well. I've been working a new job, so the one thing I hadn't had time to do yet is uninstall/re-install. I'll give tha...

Re: Wave file as frequency envelope? (Expression Evaluator)
OK, I've tried brushing up on my math and cannot figure this out. Does anyone understand how one wave file can be used to alter the frequency of a sine wave in the expression evaluator...in layman's terms?
Is that sort of thing not worth the effort?
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Floating-point error in Spectrum Filter (6.52)
Hello, I've eager to try the the dynamic mode of the spectrum filter; however, anytime I load it and click on any of the controls I get a floating-point error message. It keeps popping up no matter what I do after that and I have to use the Task Manager to close GW. Anyone else experience this? Than...

Stereo Center vs. Vocoder
Am I crazy (rhetorical question, LOL!), or does the Stereo Center effect produce vocoder-like effects with certain settings? For example, if I load one sound on the left channel, and another sound on the right and use the Stereo Center effect (Keep Vocals or Remove Side Channels presets) it sounds, ...

FR: Filter Frequency and Steepness Shaping
Hello Chris, Chiming in with a friendly feature request: Would it be possible to update the Low/Highpass and Bandpass/stop effects to be dynamically shape-able with an envelope, much like the Pan, Doppler and Shape Volume effects? It would be fantastic if both the frequency and steepness were change...

Wave file as frequency envelope? (Expression Evaluator)
Hello all, It's been a while since I've used the expression evaluator(EE) and there is something I'm trying to achieve with it. Let's say I first create a wave file and use the EE to give it a value of 1, then I use the Shape Volume effect to essentially create an envelope with that file. Is it poss...

FR - New Filter Effect
Chris, I know you are quite busy and I am very happy with the existing feature set of GW; however, an idea came to me that would help me out immensely if implemented in GW. Would it be possible to create a resonant filter effect in which the frequency and resonance amounts were variable over time - ...

Re: Noise Reduction - Use clipboard from a different file
Gaz,
It could be that the sample rate or bit depth from the noise source is different from the file you want to process. I know that affects the clipboard functionality with other processes.
Just a thought.

Does anyone know how to do the portable install with the new version of GW?

Re: Convolving
Vijay, You can kinda-sorta do a convolution effect in GW using the Noise Reduction tool. Here is the process: 1. Copy a short section of audio to the clipboard (idealy, less than 1 second in length). 2. Open another sound file to process and select the Noise Reduction tool. 3. In the Noise Reduction...
