Re: can goldwave maximize the sound using by cue point ?

Re: How to record directly into Golwave a sound played on PC
On the "System" tab of the "Control Properties" dialog, select "Use Core Audio/WASAPI". Then, on the "Device" tab, see if you have a "LOOPBACK" device listed as one of the "Record" devices you can use.

Re: Changing the speed but not the pitch of an audio file
Hi Rob. The effect you want is called "Time Warp" in v5.x and simply "Time" in v6.x. There are three modes: "Rate", "Similarity" and "FFT". The latter two will change the duration of the selection without affecting pitch. For voice and simple sounds,...

Then have a look in "Public". "Documents and Settings\All Users" is the old (XP and earlier) location for those things.dpriest wrote:I don't see where the "all users" folder is. I see C:\Users and then 2 folders: one is "public" and the other one is my name.

Re: Copy then Copy to New - Assign Key
Perhaps you could use a utility like AutoHotkey to map [Ctrl-C][Ctrl-P] to a single keystroke.

Does [Ctrl-C] immediately followed by [Ctrl-P] accomplish what you want?

Re: Best quality to save to?
re: compression - You are quite right in thinking that you should save your raw recordings in a "lossless" format, but not all compression schemes are "lossy" (like MP3 is). FLAC is a lossless compression scheme that is often used for archive purposes, and GoldWave supports the F...

Yes, GoldWave can do that. From the Help file: Noise Reduction =============== ... A reduction envelope is used to remove noise. The envelope can be created in four different ways, depending on the Reduction envelope setting as explained below. The Use clipboard option often gives the best results. ...

Re: Default Format New File
Try this: In GoldWave, click Options > File Formats... > Default Save Format choose a "mono" format, and enable the "Use this format for Save As, Save Selection As, and Copy To" option. The file will still be initially recorded in stereo, but when you go to save it the default fo...
