Re: Batch change playback speed

Have you tried this yourself, or are you just assuming it would work? The instructions inside the module say the time change is only effective for voice or simple sounds. It might work with audiobooks, depending on the complexity of the content, but I'd run a few tests on individual files first befo...

Re: Batch change playback speed

All you have to do is open the batch processor to find out. Scroll down the list of options.

Re: How to merge many mp3 file to be one song

Can't you read? There's a file merger function built into GoldWave. You don't need a separate program.

Re: How do I get started in simple plugin development?

What kind of plug-in are you talking about? Direct X (which nobody uses anymore)? VST2? Goldwave only supports 32-bit VST2, and Chris posted that he has no plans to offer 64-bit VST2 support, since he doesn't think his customer base are interested in VST capability. Chris is probably right. And now ...

Re: A couple feature suggestions for Goldwave

Are you a radio astronomer or something? In the everyday world, the noise floor will get you long before you get anywhere near 100kHz, unless there's something you know that everyone else doesn't. For most people, the maximum sample rate for recording is 96kHz because they can't get anything useful ...

Re: Phono Preamp to PC

On top of that, under some circumstances, recording at 24-bit could somehow lead to worse sound quality, here's why... let's say you record at 24-bit but for some reasons you need to convert back to 16-bit for listening and/or compatibility purposes (like burning an audio CD), the converted files (...

Re: missing audio off recordings

OK, I just recorded a 23-minute stereo file in GW 6.47, in 24/48 wav format, using Win 10 WASAPI, and a cheap USB utility mixer I got at Parts Express a few weeks ago, deliberately inviting failure with my equipment choice. Result: No problems, no dropouts, nothing. I even reviewed the file in Izoto...

Re: Fading in a radio recording

I don't know if this matters, but you can shift tracks relative to each other, in the time domain, in Audacity. I may be wrong, but I don't think you can do it in Goldwave. At least I've never tried it.

Re: Fading in a radio recording

So you want track #1 to end abruptly, but you want track #2 to fade in gradually?

Re: missing audio off recordings

I can't think of anything useful. I use Izotope RX to record and use Goldwave just for occasional, simple editing purposes now. ASIO (incl. ASIO4All) doesn't present me any recording issues.

Re: missing audio off recordings

What interface are you using, if any? Are you recording directly to your computer with Realtek, or are you using an outboard USB interface?

Re: missing audio off recordings

It could be you have a problem with buffer size. I don't what else would cause audio dropouts. You might fiddle around with the control properties a little bit to see if you get better results.
