even larger file size

after I combine two video clips into one -- certainly it will be larger, but the size is just too large -- 150 MB after I combine two clips of 32MB each. I saved it as divx file, which should be much smaller. Could you figure out any possible reason? I saved it as 2000 birate.

Thanks!!

thanks again, Chris. But I am puzzled by the larger file size after saving as divx 5.21 codec file. The original is 33M mpeg file, for example, and after I saved (adjust the birate to 2000), it became 52M. Divx suppose to shrink your file to be 1/10 of the orignial size, but I just got bigger ones. :(

How to cut some frames in the middle a section?

Chris, Thanks for your great answers to my previous questions. Things have been going quite well after I read your posts. Today, would you please summarize the procedure to cut some frames in the middle of a section, e.g. a video clip? What I am doing now is complicated: First I use the marker to ma...

How to use AUTOFADE to cut off music?

Chris, I've been working hard to make "autofade" happen for the music track on my video, but still could not figure out how to use it. Basically I want to end the background music when the video ends, but my music file is too long. I can cut it by "TRIM END" but I want it to end ...

Thanks Chris.
So DivX will work with Multiquence (3rd party software in their eyes) and will allow me to save video with their format?

Chris, would you please also check messages on General?

Hi Chris,

I guess you are out of town because I am seeing your postings to recent questions. When you get the chance to reply, would you also check threads on the "GENERAL" forum. I have two postings there.

Thanks very much!

How to match audio and video sections?

Hi Chris, I have deleted the original audio section of a MTV and left the video section only. Then I was trying to add a new audio file of another song and it was added. However, the song file is much longer (4 mins) than the video file (2 mins), so when saving as a video, the new saved video file c...

I tried again...

and this time I tried to save the combined new files into a video file and save it as WMVideo, but I encountered "Direct X" error. So, I had to save it as Uncompressed Video, and created a really huge file (1.4GB), and the quality is not as good as orignial MPEG. Please instruct, which is ...

Direction of procedures

Hi everyone! I'd like to get a simple instruction of steps I need to do to complete a change of background music of a video clip (mpeg file). Hope you could give me some guidance. I have a video clip (not MTV) with a music background, like documentary with background music. However, I want to change...
