VideoMeld 1.65 not responding when I export to MP4

Whenever I try to export to MP4 with VideoMeld 1.65, VideoMeld locks up as "not responding"" and I must use the Windows 10 Task Manager to kill it. I can export to WMV. I tried both the regular HD Stereo and YouTube exports and they both locked up. I'm running an AMD Ryzen 7 8-core pr...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

I just installed Beta 5.64 to make sure I had all the latest fixes. The Playback device is set to AMD High Definition Output (AMD High Definition Audio Device) (04E5) with a Latency of 1.00 and quality set to IEEE 32 bit. Alternative initialization is NOT checked. On the System tab I've selected &qu...

Re: Multiquence Rendering Crash (Avi ,Wmv & Mov)

Gee, Chris, what are you doing with all that spare time between midnight and 3 a.m.? Between trying to figure out why my Goldwave playback doesn't work correctly and all the other problems people send you, you should have loads of free time to rewrite Multiquence. Actually, I was a software develope...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

As Alice in Wonderland said, "This gets curiouser and curiouser." As usual, in DirectSound mode everything works okay. In WASAPI mode the HDMI output experiences variable delay both with the regular selection play button and with the TEST button (the tone is sometimes full-length and somet...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

Hi Chris. Okay. I installed the driver for the AMD HD Audio Device, the one you recommended, and it went on fine. Then I tested it. No change. I went into Windows Control Panel Devices, selected that device, and ran a Windows check for driver updates. It said I had the latest version. Then I selecte...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

Hi Chris. I just ran a test. In WASAPI mode with output set to Realtek speakers it seems to work pretty much correctly, the same as it does in DirectSound mode. With a 1 second display it always starts playback at the beginning of the selection unless I keep hitting the playback button fast before t...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

Hi Chris. Sorry for the delay. I've been busy starting to publish my novels as eBooks (plus hosting the grandson for a week) so I got a bit backlogged on my other stuff. I switched back to WASAPI (or is that WASABI :) ) mode and it's still doing it. Here's the info: Computer: Microsoft Windows 7 Hom...

Okay, so I'm old, I'm senile, but I do love wasabi--clears my sinuses beautifully.

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

Chris, Additional info: CTRL-[ does exactly the same thing. The playback restart point for all options varies a bit for each time I press the play button, and occasionally it does go back to the beginning of the selection, but not usually. This doesn't seem to be related to any particular sequence o...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

Chris, My reference to "Cue mode" is when I've pressed the Cues button and have the Cue Points message box on the screen. My playback button 2 is already set to "Selection", the default I believe. I tried your suggestion of setting button 3 to "Selection", but it works ...

Re: Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

Gord, Except when I'm in Cue mode I don't use F7 or F8 to pause or stop playback. I guess I never realized they would do that outside of Cue mode. I just tried it and it doesn't solve the problem. When this problem occurs I'm usually working with a short passage in one second view in a highlighted a...

Recording from Stereo Mix Bus on HP with HDMI Output

:) I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit version) on an HP Pavilion Elite HPE-400y desktop. The system has Realtek High Definition Audio on the motherboard and an AMD HDMI output card, which I have connected via HDMI through a Sony 5.1 Receiver into a Samsung LED monitor. I was unable to recor...

Play Selection Does Not Always Go Back to Beginning

I'm currently running the Goldwave 5.63 Beta version under Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit version). I've noticed that when I hit the playback arrow that is set for "Play Selection" the playback frequently does not start from the beginning of the selection. This makes it tricky to find the ...

Re: ***PLZ HELP*** FADE IN/FADE OUT

This should be fairly easy. I assume you set the volume by using the section or track options. To adjust the volume within an audio section or the brightness in a video section, select the Effect menu and select Fade Graph. This will put a horizontal dashed red line in every section, which represent...
