Re: How to play full song beyond end of marked interval?

I may not be understanding your question properly, if not please forgive my intrusion: Open Goldwave. Push F11, which opens the control "Control Propeties" window. Click the "Play" tab. Under Play 1 or Play 2 or Play 3 you have the word "Selection". Next to that, there is a check mark. Clicking that...

Re: How to enable Stereo Mixer in Windows 10 1803 OS 17134.1

Chris...
Thanks for the info. Now I know I am not crazy, because it was right after a Windows 10 update that the problems began for me recently.

Re: How to enable Stereo Mixer in Windows 10 1803 OS 17134.1

Scopio... I recently had a problem develop that meant I could not record. It drove me nuts. I checked to be sure I had not made any physical changes to my setup that might have created the problem. I tried various malware removal tools and had no luck. I played around with the Goldwave settings (F11...

Re: Unable to record

Chris... Thank you very much for caring and offering me the reasonable and appropriate suggestions. I have done those things over and over again, checking and double checking and wondering what I've missed. I've been through every menu I can find looking for anything that might be the problem. This ...

Re: Unable to record

To update my note of a few days ago: Now today my system will not record into Goldwave. Windows tells me that my record and playback device is working and being recognized. Goldwave recognizes my Presonus Audiobox USB interface. If I play some music via my playback program on my computer, it will re...

Re: Could not record

I just wrote a note in another thread (Unable to record) in which I recounted my difficulty.

I have my stem working again... you might want to find that note.

Re: Unable to record

I recently went through something similar -- after working perfectly the day before, I suddenly found that I was not able to record. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Steinberg drivers. That didn't fix the problem. I persevered, brave soul that I am. I checked everything I could in terms of Windows ...

Re: Mono recording, downmix resp.

>>what "volume tab"? Where? :: When I punch up F11, Control Properties opens. I then show Play, Record, Volume, Visual, Device and System tabs. When you select the Volume tab you should get a pop up window. Find Volume Device, look for the v at the right edge of the gray field. You should have the o...

Re: Mono recording, downmix resp.

My VU meter show sound whether I'm recording or not. If there is a source providing sound, My VU meter shows it and I adjust accordingly before I start recording. I don't even have a sound window open, but my VU meter is showing the sound I have feeding right now. F11 to open Control Properties, Rec...

Hey.... That's great! I'm happy that you solved your problem. RF from the monitor... wow. That's one I never would have thought of. I have two monitors on my desktop, but my computers are on the other side of a wall. I've removed the spinning hard drives and replaced them with solid state hard drive...

Re: a buzzing after recording for a while

Tony, I'm sorry I couldn't come up with an answer for ya. I'm thinking you are right in suspecting some sort of outside interference. Check the area for shortwave or business band antennas on tall towers, perhaps in someone's back yard, or even on their roof. Are you near any military installation o...

Re: a buzzing after recording for a while

Tony, I wish I could come up with a surefire answer for ya, but I don't have one. The problem isn't always there, so that would seem to eliminate the possibility that you are recording at an excessively high "level". I always try to keep it low... always indicate no more than about 50%. It can alway...
