GoldWave uses the updated Edge browser to support a new system of plug-ins called PION. Please see the GoldWave help for details. Also a future update will use Edge to display the help (currently the outdated Internet Explorer embedded browser is used for that).

in the last version there is a new dll -> WebView2Loader.dll (Microsoft Edge Embedded Browser Webview Loader)
may i know why does goldwave use WebView2Loader.dll and what can goldwave do with WebView2Loader.dll ?

i can't open opus files and save under w7 64bit and under w10 64bit

whe i try to open a opus file (it works with 6.47)


when i try to open a flac /wave /mp3 and save in opus i got this crash

hi DougDbug do you agree that sox is one of the best? That's what I've read. I assume you've seen src.infinitewave.ca ? They do have graphs for GoldWave 5.18 & 5.58 and you can "see" a "theoretical" improvement with 5.58. I don't specifically remember re-sampling with an old...

I don't know, but I've never heard any aliasing no matter what software I was using. From what I've read, GoldWave's resampler used to "measure" worse than some others but I don't think it sounded worse, and it's been improved since then. BTW - Aliasing only happens when downsampling. Ups...
