Re: question about encoders
So, what are you saying? Are you saying the LAME developers shouldn't give you that option or that GoldWave shouldn't give you access to that option? If GoldWave takes-out those options, I'm sure someone would complain about that... I'm sure some people already complain that GoldWave doesn't allow ...

Re: the best way to make all my songs louder
It's okay, Sara, my English isn't great! :) Dropdown Menu -> Dynamics -> Effects -> Amplify Light I'm amazed how much applause (my web site) I gain from using it. I feel it's one of Chris's (author) home-run creations! It uncovers sounds I never heard before (from CD)! Most people just use compress...

Re: the best way to make all my songs louder
I you look at Giles Martin's remixing of Sgt. Pepper album, you'll generally see a dense waveform that doe not even fill the envelope of an audio editor, yet, the recordings are LOUDER. When Maximizing a waveform doesn't do much, I turns to Amplify Light, that loudens, but does not make it look obv...

Re: for 32bit there is no way to update encoders
In theory you can replace the libFLAC.dll, libogg-0.dll, libopus-0.dll, libopusfile-0.dll, and libvorbis.dll file with the latest versions available to update the FLAC, Vorbis, and Opus encoders used by GoldWave v5.70. Those may be available from Xiph.org. hi i haven't found @ Xiph.org , there are ...

Re: audio staticts is there a way ?
If you are using the Auto Cue feature, then you'd want get the peak level with Maximize Volume. You'd need to select an area with just the wind noise and use that effect. You can then enter that as the silence threshold level in the Auto Cue feature. However if the wind noise is as loud as the voic...

Re: is there a way to find clipping point/cue?
is there a way to find clipping in my audio? No... Maybe... FYI - Audacity can do it (or at least it will show potential clipping). I'm a long-time GoldWave user, but sometimes I use Audacity. I'll give you a couple of scenarios - hi DougDbug may i ask you how do you fix clipped audio? and i have w...

Re: the best way to make all my songs louder
ReplayGain will make many/most songs quieter and it will essentially undo normalization/maximization.. hi DougDbug so to create a compilation is better to use Volume Maximize then replaygain ,isn't it ? I've always thought replaygain is the state of art to "normalization" No. That won't d...

Re: the best way to make all my songs louder
I use this method:- open the file, and then choose the compress/expand option and select the "hard limit at -6dB preset. Now then go to "maximise volume" and then apply the "full dynamic range" preset. This will give you a good sound without clipping. Having said this, musi...

Re: audio staticts is there a way ?
1) do you mean effect->volume->maximize volume? Correct. You can optionally cancel after noting the current peak. Hi DougDbug i have several audio recordings they are mostly voice recordings , there are wind, and other noise between the speech how can i calculate the RMS or the peak of such part of ...
