ha! im not looking to get rich or make a penny, i just want new technology!! i believe the first millisecond of the transmission..whether its voice or instrumental have a distinct difference that we havent pinpointed yet. Without going into a wildly speculative speech, let's just leave it at that fo...

Nick, If you want to split hairs, we could go do some legwork and come up with specific percentages..but i dont think that is really the point. If it was, what would the percentage have to be to get the powers that be to take notice and make a move? If it was one or two people, your underlying point...

great reply..thx. Now, let me redirect. In digital files, i understand the whole scenario. However, when dealing in an analog file, it is possible, even probable, that there is noise in the file. Is there such a thing as 'silent noise'? i know it sounds silly, but it would represent some 'thing' tha...

it would seem to me that voice characterizatiuons and music characterizations, as represented in a wave file/frequency file signature are very different in nature. Why cant a computer identify the subtle, yet real differences between musical sounds and frequencies and vocal sounds and frequencies? T...

Don, what kind of VO work do you do? i do these kind of mixes on a daily basis. One thing to add that you may not think about is which goes over which. You will find if you mix the music to the VO track you get one quality, whereas if you mix the Vo to the music track you get a different quality. Ex...

one other trick is to reduce the track volume significantly, then isolate the talking of the comic..this isnt going to be a complete vocal isolation...but by eliminating the parts of the track that are just laughter, you can build a new track that consists of vocals and any laughter underneath it. I...
