Re: Hiss Removal
Well, that's the way it goes, I guess. I didn't get great results on your file with Goldwave, I must admit; the EQ idea was kind of a "Hail Mary." I finally stopped using Goldwave for NR purposes because of artifacting and because the NR took out too much of the tonal info with the broadba...

Re: Hiss Removal
I played around with your audio sample a little bit in Goldwave, then did some more experimenting with another program. I'd say you're pretty much in the ballpark with Goldwave already; you might want to try some EQ to supplement the NR to minimize artifacting. Maybe cut frequencies above 5kHz and s...

Re: Loud audio clips at -.1dB, not lighting peak clip indica
God knows, I may have experienced the same problem with Realtek when I used it, without appreciating the problem's significance or bothering to trace the source. Wish I could be of more help with this; sorry about that. I don't have anything in my log that could help.

Re: Loud audio clips at -.1dB, not lighting peak clip indica
Does Realtek audio have a peak-limiting feature? Does the recorded audio sound distorted?

Try Sonar with the Goldwave demo and see if you get the desired connectivity.

Re: Trouble getting the VST plug-in to recognize Certain VST
Wish I could offer something of value, but nothing on the 'net! Maybe you and/or Tristan know, maybe it can be done with GW alone, but a song with a cold ending; is there a Plug-in, or other, way to echo a portion of the ending and have it repeat as it fades? Thanks! :P I'm going to suggest startin...

Re: Trouble getting the VST plug-in to recognize Certain VST
Sorry about your visual problems; I hope I didn't come across as insensitive. I tried the ReaPlugs in the Sony Audio Studio 10 demo, and all of them seem to work as advertised. As I recall, I had the same issues you did using the plugs with GoldWave, though my memory is a bit fuzzy. I just remember ...

Re: Trouble getting the VST plug-in to recognize Certain VST
People have been complaining about the lack of reliability of the Reaper VST's, and not just people using GoldWave. I'd say you're out of luck until Cuckos decides to address the issue. (Dude, use paragraphs. I had a really hard time reading your post. )

You might hear more after Goldwave is released in 64-bit. Dunno for certain, though.

Re: VST Plug-In Recommendations.
This has been really, really instructive. I guess there aren't a lot of people who use VST plugs with Goldwave.

Re: USB control interface problem Zoom R8
Well, so far as I know, Goldwave supports 32-bit recording max, so if you record at a higher bit depth, you'll force Goldwave to downsample to get to 32 bits. Maybe that means the app will have to stop recording briefly to perform calculations? I'm guessing here. I've never had a problem recording w...

Have you tried v5.69 to see if that works any better?
