6.74 -- still having a playback issue. Can't restart after stopping in the middle of a file. Using WASAPI. I'm not going to use DirectSound, sorry. WASAPI is the closest thing to ASIO on this app. Going back to 6.72.

Normally I control playback from the computer keyboard. No issues doing that with pre-6.73 versions. I'm using Windows 11, if that helps. 6.72 works fine.

Sometimes a file won't play when I press 'start' in 6.73. Reinstalled 6.72 and the problem disappaeared.

If you don't want problems, pay. If you want free, get Audacity.

You also have to make sure the files merge at a null point.

Might want to run an experiment to see if the process works with another format, say .mp3. If it doesn't work, that might indicate some sort of file corruption problem. Might have to save to WAV one file at a time.

No problems using 64-bit VST2s, at least so far as crashing is concerned.

I have a real love/hate relationships with subs doing nearfield work. I have a hell of a time getting them dialed in. Subs work fine on my master system, when they're 30ft away from me, which isn't a surprise.

I think there's something wrong with your monitoring rig, because the recording sounds fine on my system. All I hear is the usual very-low-level ambient noise.

I'll add that, based on my experience, Waves decracklers/declickers don't work any better than the native Goldwave declicker module. Some Waves stuff is great, but some of it isn't that hot.
