One of the problems I keep getting in all my trials is hissy "s" sounds. In the vocals of the track, the "s" sounds come out very hissy. Is there a way to reduce this?
Note that Hiss Reduction is not the answer here.
Thanks.

Increasing Quality of Audio
I have a lot of songs that could use an increase in sound quality. I'm not new to editing or so-called "remastering," so I know that there are hundreds of techniques that could be used. The problem is that I don't know which techniques would work here. I would like to focus on these two fa...

VOB files
I have some DVD-Rs that contain footage. When I insert them into my DVD-ROM Drive, the actual video files on the DVD-R are VOB. They can be played with Windows Media Player. Can Multiquence play VOB files? I want to pull these off my DVD-Rs and onto my desktop, edit them, and then save them as an AV...

Hi. Thanks for the reply, but I guess I didn't explain well. Let's say my highlighted selection begins at 0:00.000 and ends at 3:00.000. If I hit play, the file will begin playing from 0:00.000, just as it should. The play position marker will be moving from the left to the right, until it hits the ...

Skipping while Playing Audio
In v5.12, when I am playing audio in Goldwave and then move the highlight-selection-box, the music will skip to where I moved the selection. This didn't happen in v4.26. How can I make that stop?
Thanks.
Thanks.

A Cappella Generators
There are two methods that I am aware of which can generate an a cappella. 1) Inverting the instrumental - If you have an instrumental of a song, maybe from a CD single, it is possible, but not probable, that you can make an a cappella out of the main mix. If the two tracks are synchronized, simply ...

Compression, Expansion, Limiters
It is my understanding that Compression, Expansion, and Limiters can keep a sound signal from over amplification and clipping. When I record the audio in church, the audio levels jump around. Some parts are too low while others are too loud and the sound is broken, causing distortion. Professional r...

Speed Adjustment
I have heard some official songs where the speed of the vocals in a track were changed (sped up), but the actual quality of the vocals were perfect. There was no chipmunk voice. The actual tempo of the vocals were changed, but it sounded as if the artist recorded them that way, and I know for a fact...

Uncompressed Video File
I have some rare VHS tapes that have never been released to DVD. They are promotional music videos. I want to extract them to my PC in an **uncompressed** video format (for best possible quality). I know how to extract the footage, but what extensions represent **uncompressed** format? MPEG2, AVI, W...

Changing Speed, but Allowing it to Sound as if I Didn't
There is a lot of music out there where people will change the way their voices sound, but the speed will be the same. For example, we've all heard songs where the voices were synthesized to sound high pitched or slow pitched, but the actual time length of the voices were not altered, only the sound...
