OK Doug, that sounds correct. The file will grow, and yes it should look like there is only one "named" file / song in the result. It should take the name from the Tags that were in the FIRST appended file. AND, these are binary files, so you COULD also include a /B somewhere on the comman...

If you mean "append" then you can achieve this thru the DOS copy command. as in COPY file1+file2+file3+file4 dest. The first four files will end up (back-to-back) in the dest file - in the order you listed them. If you want to see this using the DOS copy command, then just type COPY /? at ...

I too use a freebie in the anti-virus world. However, when I check out software - I spend days looking before choosing - even if it IS free. I found that AVG had a 5-star rating (with 35 responders). I use Avast - also a 5-star - but it had 980 some responders. That right there says volumes to me.

Well, I can't specifically answer about Batch and G.W. - but Chris said once that he had done some work on GoldWave in regards to multi-core processing. I have a quad core and I watched the Sidebar gadget from microsoft report CPU utilization a few times while I was performing a SAVE on a number of ...

I just recently rebuilt my PC with a nice Intel 9450 Quad-Core and 8 Gig of ram onto a motherboard that has the same integrated sound as you. I decided to multi-boot - - - and in Win-XP, G.W. works great. When I booted into Vista, there was dead silence!!! So, I pulled the speakers out and tried ano...

I have to agree about the 32 kbps. It's very adequate. I myself completed a project in July where I took all 17 CD's from the last Harry Potter series and was able to "squeeze" them onto a single CD. I ended up using 64 kbps - and they "just fit". The advantage is that I don't ha...

Welcome to Goldwave! OK, here's the quick way. Pull up the Windows Explore (right-click the Start Button). Go to where your file is stored and right-click on the file. This should produce a menu. IF you're using Windows XP, one of your selections should be 'Open With'. Hover your mouse over that and...

Hey Sarge, Thanks for the post. I didn't see it either; although Chris did mention something about a censor feature recently. I can't remember the post - but I will certainly download that over the weekend and most likely purchase the full version too. That is, if I'm not too busy going to the Colle...

Hey Piano! I don't know about that. Once we install the new version, we can all look forward to seeing those 40 fixes / improvements in Goldwave that Chris mentioned in his original post. I wonder just which calendar that Chris is using? The Gregorian calendar has just finished it's end-of-year and ...

Simply go to the CONTACT page and request the latest manual from Chris. If you've purchased a copy of GW, then Chris will send you the latest AND the password required to "install" it. Be sure to request the figures (GIF files) that go with it too. If you didn't purchase GW, then plan on d...
