Re: how to access anwida plug-in

I have the Multiquence beta - will it work? It should be fully functional. Under the Effects menu, there is a selection for DirectX plug-ins. If you have the Anwida effect installed, it will show up there. If you don't see it there, re-install the plug-in and check again. I've got the Anwida effect...

Re: Goldwave: How to playback multiple wave files at once

I am not looking to multi track Sounds like you figured out how to do what you're wanting. Seems a bit cumbersome, though; all those instances of Goldwave. I use Goldwave's Multiquence for sketch pad stuff like you're doing. It is multitrack (not sure why you wouldn't want multitrack here, but...) ...

You know how you can rip two different CDs and they're different volumes? That shouldn't happen either unless the "ripper" is not really ripping, but instead doing an analog-to-digital conversion through the sound card. Ripping software is designed to transfer data , not sound. It should ...

The vertical scale is essentially a percentile scale, with 1 = 100%, 0.5 = 50%, etc.

It is a percentage of the maximum volume range your analog-to-digital converter (on your soundcard) will accept.

Re: How Do I Edit Music Out of A File of Narration...

I had recoreded a mp3 file of narration on Gold Wave and then mixed in music and saved it. Sadly--- I didn't keep the original file and I need to know the quickest and easist way to actually--- get the music out of there. If you still have the exact music file you used originally, you may be able t...

Re: Altering Voices

I'm working on a small Half-Life mod, and I need to create voices for more characters than I have voice actors. If you're merely looking for variation, you may want to try having your actors lower the pitch of their voice naturally, read at half speed, emphasizing spoken consonants, then speed up t...

Re: Reading/Converting very long files

Give us a bit more information about the process. I'm unclear about the point at which you are using Goldwave in this conversion process.

Also, what program are you using for playback that shows large portions are missing from the beginning?

Yeah. Some of the better programs are smart enough to not include the tags in the audio data written to the CD. But WMP and some others are expecting totally clean .wav's for some reason.

Re: Clicks at start of track on GW files burned to CDs

When I burned the .wav tracks to a CDR and played the CDR there was a slight click at the start of each track - this click does not exist in the Gold Wave file when I play it on Gold Wave. The click comes from tag information in the .wav file. Use StripWav to clear the tag information before burning.

Re: Has Goldwave bought Soundprobe?

Update: I sent an email to Mr. Link today. He has since updated his web site with the following: "8 August 2005 – Please note that the Soundprobe audio editor is no longer supported by HiSOFT. The authors withdrew the program from the commercial market some 2 years ago." Looks like it's a ...

Re: Has Goldwave bought Soundprobe?

I wonder if goldwave bought the soundprobe technology, or simply bought it domain name. The WhoIs listing still says it belongs to David Link in the UK (the guy who is HiSoft, the maker of SoundProbe). Going to HiSoft's web site , it looks like he's rebuilding the web site as of May 24, 2005. But y...
