Goldwave & Sound Volume during Recording

I am having a lot of trouble adjust the sound volume when I record. My input source it cassette. Ok there seems to be some relationship between the Volume Control on the F11 display and the Windows XP volume control for Recording. Here is basically what I am seeing happen. I listen to my line In to ...

Re: Recording Level problem

I still had the input set to Microphone and not Line in. That solved the volume problem. Good! BUT I have another problem --- it seems to record at some compressed rate, saile pace, but when I stop the recording it expands to the normal size. What is causing the appearance of the recording at at sn...

WHen I check LINE IN as my source I set the volume to 50% but when I start recording it seems that is ignored and I have no idea how to control the volume level in...

Backing out Goldwave Voice

How do I back this feature out? Before installing the new Goldwave I used to be able to record voices from TTS demo to capture the few words I needed - I can no longer do this. Please tell me out to restore the old use to Goldwave. I don't like the voices, I often need only a few words and this feat...

Re: New Voice Feature - More voices?

Thank you

How would I go about actually adding the voices? What steps are needed?

YOu get a file to run and have no choice where the file ends up and then you cannot access it via Goldwave. Not sure that adding voices is possible without greater direction.

Re: Batch Improvement in Edit function.

There should be Preset controls near the bottom of the Batch Processing window. If not, make sure you have a recent version of GoldWave installed. After you've added the effects and edit commands to the Process list, enter a name in the Preset area and click the plus [+] button to save those settin...

Re: Batch Improvement in Edit function.

When you add the Insert Silence edit command to the process list in Batch Processing , you can specify the length of the silence. You can then save that as a preset, which you can reuse. Chris I have never found a way to do that. There is never an option to SAVE the setting from the batch edit wind...

Batch Improvement in Edit function.

I use the insert silence very often in my batch processing. I prefer 6 second silence at the start of each CD. Batch limits me to 5 unless I manually change it before processing. Is there anyway we can set our own field and save it so it is available each time we use that function?

Thanks

"smoothing/normalizing" voice when merging.

Ok here is the situation. I have an audio book on multiple cassette. Depending on which cassete the audio is either louder or softer -- in other words they have different levels. When I merge the files of 2 cassettes I end up with a recording in which on one half I need to turn up the volume and on ...

In GoldWave you'd select the Spectrogram visual. Right-click on a visual in the Control window to select "Spectrogram". Right-click on the visual again to select "Properties" to select the "Show axis" option. You'd then play the file to generate the spectrogram or drag...
