Re: how to merge to WAV file without a silence gap ?
Use Edit | Copy on 1.wav, then open 2.wav and use [/b]Edit | Paste[/b]. That inserts 1.wav in front of 2.wav. Or you can use the Edit | Paste At menu to paste at different places. Or you can use Tool | File Merger to join many files into one. okay ! i searched for a tool like the file Merge but i l...

Re: goldwave 6.18 does not take in charge utf8 cue file
Import and export seem to be working on my system. Please post the contents of a cue file that isn't working. Also make sure the name is correct (name.cue and not name.mp3.cue, for example). i didn't have it anymore, because i worked with 5.70 to perform this task and delete the original file after...

Re: goldwave 6.18 does not take in charge utf8 cue file
well, i just installed the last release 6.21. it seems you changed something in cue file feature handsup... now, the cue file even not loading at all with this error message : could not find cue file. whereas the previous release and the 5.70 still loads the non-utf8 cue file (but with bad charset c...

Re: goldwave does not always use the temporary storage setup
i am not complaining about the creation of the temps file. But the localisation is akward.
But why not in the TEMP folder (or ram or memory like i set up in option) ?
i set up golwave file directory temps to RAM because i thought it was quicker for editiing big file, but you do not use it.

goldwave does not always use the temporary storage setup ?
hi, in my storage setup, i have set the temporary storage to RAM (i have 12GB of RAM). but i noticed that goldave (6.19) always use a temporary file (like gwv82C.tmp name file) in the folder where the opened file is currently in saving. why don't you save the file in memory (like my setup) or in %te...

goldwave 6.18 does not load the CUE file each times
hi, a little bug (or adjustement). in the same folder, when you have : myfile.wav myfile.wav.cue then goldwave can't manage to understand and load the cue file. i guess it is stucked with the double dot. extension in the filename.... 6.18 and even the Goldwave v5.70 version have this little bug. i'm...

Re: goldwave 6.18 does not take in charge utf8 cue file
i don't have it anymore (once i cut with cue, i delete it).. but you can see on the picture http://www.pix-host.com/allimages/33423270.jpg that notepad++ could open it without problem and it was detected as UTF-8 (see the bottom mention). i just rebuild another cue file with this utf-8 content, and ...

Re: g6.18 : i can't reopen my file after cue split, nor conv
Usually GoldWave displays a warning when saving a file larger than 4GB. If the files are only 200MB, then that shouldn't be a problem. When you open one of the files in GoldWave and it displays the window where you can specify the format, you can click the Data button to view the header information...

Re: g6.18 : i can't reopen my file after cue split, nor conv
It's not a file system issue, it's the WAV file spec... Using 64-bit Windows or 64-bit GoldWave does NOT change the original Microsoft WAV file specification. then, maybe goldwave should have warn me once i opened it, before i cut it. At least the wav generator (on linux machine) won't do such thin...

Re: g6.18 : i can't reopen my file after cue split, nor conv
the 3GB limit is no a clue because goldwave 6.18 is 64bits now, and my filesystem is NTFS (not fat32), so forget the 3GB limit problem. don't take care about the high qualit i use to "rip/backup" my LP, it was necessary for a very very very old disc. The problem is just Goldwave managed to...

g6.18 : i can't reopen my file after cue split, nor convert
hi, i have an issue wih GW6.18, i don't know ifthis version is the problem source, but my problem came from the split operation (whereas i did not have any such problem with previous release of goldwave). i had a big wav file (more than 3GB), i splitted it with a cue file into partial files (like i ...

is there a way to do a volume maximize by cue point ?
hi, i have often large sound file where there are many cue points. i want to maximize the volume. sometimes i notice only cue part is higher than other, then the maximize is lower for other areas in the entire file. is there a way (without split files) to do a maximize volume operation but telling t...

Re: [6.13] maximize volume does not really maximize fully ?
To speed up drawing, GoldWave only approximates the waveform when zoomed out. So you may not be able to see the maximum peaks. Try using Maximize again to see where in time the maximum is, then zoom in at that time to see the peak. you are perfectly right. i had to zoom in twice to discover-view th...
