I have a technique in mind that has helped me from time to time, I don't know if it will work to resolve your problem or not - but it is worth trying. 1) Make a copy of the original, one that you can afford to lose or destroy. 2) Make sure the original is in a safe place, and open the copy. 3) "...

dmac - Above the Goldwave worktable, where you actually see and work on the wave, you will see some headers. Find and click on "effect". A window opens and several options appear. Near the bottom, find and click on "volume". A new window appears. Find and click on "maximize&...

It is difficult to diagnose from a distance and without hearing it - but one possibility to consider is that you may have exposed the cassette to some low level magnetism at some point. If so, that could have affected the spot directly in line with the source and the next few layers wound under the ...

AAC Coversion and Compatibility

I use Goldwave to conver wav files to mp3 frequently - now, I have a need to convert to AAC. If I remember, all the conversion to mp3 required that I download the Razor Lame utility. I am wondering if anyone knows of a utility that will work with Goldwave and allow me to convert to AAC files - - and...

Thanks Stiiv - I guess I just couldn't quite understand what he was getting at. You bring up something that catches my attention, though. I use the "Time Warp" from time to time, and have had great results with no problems such as you describe. Maybe that is because I use it for voice only...

abhoth - I do not name music files via Goldwave and do not burn CDs via Goldwave, so I can not claim any experience or knowledge of that - but I do use Music Match Juke Box for that, and I can tell you that MMJB has a very easy to learn and use system for labeling individual tracks and collections. ...

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but could he not use the "time warp" feature? Get the speed where he wants it and use the "similarity" button? The "time warp" is accessible on the lower tool bar at the extreme right end. I have used it on many occasions when I need to get ...

I guess I just like to do things the hard way! I lay the two elements out side by side. I produce the desired fade out on element one and then produce the desired fade in on element two. Once I have done that, I copy and save element two, then go back to element one and select the point where I want...

I use Music Match Juke Box, and find that recording vinyl to MMJB first allows me to name each track the way I want them. I then open each track in Goldwave and trim the ends and process anything that needs it and even edit out any pops or clicks that are too much to clean up. MMJB is a terrific pro...

There are filters appropriate for the problems you want to solve. If you haven't found them yet, simply run your cursor over the windows above the on screen worktable. One looks kinda like a little firecracker - that is your pop/click tool. Use the smoother to work on hiss. Don't be afraid to experi...
