Select it in blue, copy it to the clipboard (CTRL+C) and paste it (CTRL+V).
If you keep the [CTRL+V] pressed, you will paste at a flabbergasting speed. Eventually, you will need to adjust the start/end limits for a better continuity. You can monitor your extract and adjust with the loop function of the play button (right-click the play button to change the setting).

Does this create a loop track or just a string of repeated pastes?

CTRL+V is the shorcut to paste. But the repetition if you have well delimited the start and the end of the sample you have copied, it might give a clean loop.
