Problems With Goldwave !!!

I have Goldwave Version 4.21 installed on an XP system. My computer is a Pentium 4 2.8 with over 700 Ram. The drive that I have installed Goldwave on is 20 Gig. Everytime I go to produce a new audio file ....my computer freezes & finally shows that the program is Not Responding...

I cant work it out.....????

Creating a new long duration file can take a long time on Windows 2000/XP in older versions of GoldWave. Install GoldWave v5 to avoid that problem.
