Goldwave and Linux

Post by reica »

For those people (like me) who prefer Linux as an OS:
I have not investigated all available functions yet, but Goldwave seems to be running fine under Wine (windows emulator). Anyone else out there tried it?

Godwave has indeed already reported to work under Wine, but there is no warranty from Goldwave Inc, it isn't designed for Linux, only for Windows.

Questions about using GoldWave will be answered, regardless of the system used (emulated or not). However, I wouldn't be able to provide any help when it comes to setting up Wine, VMware, Parallels, etc. for GoldWave or possible problems related to those environments.

This is Goldwave 5.25, running on Ubuntu Studio. There was very little work involved, other than installing Wine (wine-1.0), and running the Goldwave installer. The only problem I am having with it is that the help window crashes. It isn't essential, doesn't come up automatically since I've registered, and really isn't a bother.
