"External exception C0FB007E" and Worm.Win32.Autor

Postby Mr Sweden » Fri May 08, 2009 5:28 pm

Starting yesterday I got a virus warning from F-prot and couldn't use Goldwave 5.25. F-prot finds the Worm.Win32.Autorun.agin in the file libvorbis.dll and Goldwave gives an "External exception C0FB007E" on some operations. I noticed somebody else had the problem in a locked thread so I thought I'll offer the workaround I found.

Download the new release of Goldware, 5.50, into a temp folder. Use any zip-program or winrar to unzip it (it's an executable zipfile). Copy the libvorbis.dll from the File folder and replace the existing one in your current Goldwave installation. Problem solved.
