I just finished installing Goldwave 5.51 and when I went to start it, I got this message:
"GoldWave.exe - Illegal System DLL Relocation
---------------------------
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL. "
I am unable to open the new version as a result.
I running Windows XP Home (service pack 2)
Pentium 4 @ 2.53 GHz
2 gig of ram
Fortunately version 5.25 is still on my computer and I can run that.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

GoldWave 5.51 Install Problem
Alangee,
I've had the same problem. You found a microsoft update fix. Can you tell what microsoft file to dowload to take care of this situation?
Thanks for any help!
Cheers,
Fred

If you are getting a similar HHCTRL.OCX error under Vista with recent versions of GoldWave, then the copy of HHCTRL.OCX on your computer is corrupt. You'll either need to use System Restore or obtain a good copy of the OCX file to replace it.
