Ripping to mp3 files

I've just updated from version 5.23 to version 5.52, and have noticed that when I use the CD Tool in Goldwave to rip a CD, I have WAV files saved on the drive instead of the MP3 files I used to have. I assume there is a way to rip to mp3 with Goldwave. If that assumption is correct, I need a nudge in the right direction to accomplish that. Can anyone help? Thank you.

I've never used GoldWave for ripping*, but I believe you have to rip and then Save-As MP3.

* I happen to use EAC (FREE!!!).

Thank you for the reply. In the past few minutes, I've discovered that I didn't read part of the window that pops up when a selection is made as to where the rip should be saved. On that window is the ability to select wav, mp3, etc. for the type of file to be saved. So, I've resolved the problem, and it appears that, once the selection is made, it doesn't need to be repeated each time a CD is ripped. But, the ability to select another mode is there should it be necessary.
