What are you trying to do? EQ is nomally used to correct a problem... What are you trying to correct?
Windows Vista & Win 7 have "room correction". (I've never tried it, but I assume it needs a flat or calibrated mic.)
And somewhere, I've seen an EQ plug-in that automatically matches the frequency spectrum to a reference file.
