V5.70 Poor marker move performance

Post by chrisjj »

On switch from XP to a more powerful Win 7 machine, I'm finding that auto-repeat marker move with preview (e.g. SHIFT+RightArrow) is slower and unsteady.

Without preview it is fast only if the window is small. The window flickers on each step, as if being entirely repainted.

Any ideas?

Just curious -- have you tried the latest beta to see if it exhibits the same problem?
I don't want to read the manual either, but, then, it isn't my problem, is it?

OK, but trying the beta might give you an indication of whether your problem is being addressed or not. Just sayin'.

That is a display driver problem. You may be able to avoid it by disabling the persistent playback marker (Options | Window).

Thanks. The problem has abated of its own accord. If it returns, yes I'll try Options, Window, [x] Hide persistent playback cursor.
