Hi All
If I have a stereo file and want to slide one of the files forward (or backwards) so that both files are in sync, how do I do this?
Thanks for any input

Re: Sliding Event
You mean slide one of the channels in a stereo file back and forth to sync? I think the only way you can sync in GoldWave is to insert a silent spacer at the end of one channel.
IIRC, you can actually slide channels back and forth in Audacity.

I don't want to read the manual either, but, then, it isn't my problem, is it?

Yes I'm looking to slide one of the channels. I've done this in Audacity to tighten up a channel that was edited. I'd LOVE to have this feature in Goldwave.

Re: Sliding Event
The only way to do that in GoldWave right now would be to select one channel and either insert silence or delete part of the channel to align it.
Re: Sliding Event
Can't you just use the flanger effect to get a delay of up to 500ms ?
Re: Sliding Event
I don't know why using the Flanger would produce better results than simply inserting silence in a channel. I'd be afraid of artifacting using an effect.

Re: Sliding Event
If I understood the question properly, adding or subtracting from one channel or the other should work. I had one occasion some time ago that need the right and left channels to be better aligned and that is what worked for me.
