FLAC 1.3.2 released

Post by Coolgamer »

FLAC 1.3.2 was just released. What's the best way to update the codec used by Goldwave, or is it internal?

It is internal in GoldWave v6. That will be updated in the next release.

When the new build is released, a way to choose Flac compression level would be neat. I batch convert most of my files to flac, and some of them I'd like to do level 8 compression on. No idea what setting Goldwave uses.

When you go to save a file as FLAC, click the attributes button at the bottom of the Window. This will bring up a box that will let you choose various format properties, like 16-bit, 24-bit; but it also lets you choose either "High" or "Maximum" compression.

Maximum equates to level 8 compression. I'm not sure what high is, but I also only ever use maximum/level 8 on all my FLAC.
