How to remove a rising tone from audio

Post by mikesndbs2013 »

Hi

I have a need to remove a rising high tone from a recording of a locomotive working.
Basically its the turbo noise I want to remove.

How can I do this in Goldwave please?

What's the frequency range of this rising tone?
I don't want to read the manual either, but, then, it isn't my problem, is it?

You may be able to use the Bandpass/Stop filter. It allows you to set a frequency range to block (stop) that changes over time.
