pre-define and set a selection when loading an *.mp3

Assume I load a certain *.mp3 by drag & drop it from WinExplorer onto GoldWave.

Then I select an interval and want to save/remember this interval for the current song beyond exit and restart.

That means when I load the same *.mp3 a couple of days later then GW should look into his selection interval database for this song and (when found) automatically pre-fetch and define this selection in the WaveForm.

Is this possible?

Am I right in thinking that you want to find a certain part of the waveform the next time you open the file? If you want to do this, (not completely automatically) you can put a cue point at the start and end of your selection, and save. The next time you open the wavefile, you can select the part between the cue points by right clicking between the cues in the "Cue Point Slot" just below the wavefile and choosing "Select between the cuepoints" option. Look in the help manual under "Main Window" to see what I mean, there is an image of the Goldwave screen which shows you the cue point slot. A good idea is to go to the "Options" drop down menu and go to "Storage" and at the bottom of the window make sure that you check the "Automatically export and import cue points" option. I hope this is of some help. As an aside you can name cuepoints for later reference by right clicking on the cue point arrow.
