Am I crazy (rhetorical question, LOL!), or does the Stereo Center effect produce vocoder-like effects with certain settings? For example, if I load one sound on the left channel, and another sound on the right and use the Stereo Center effect (Keep Vocals or Remove Side Channels presets) it sounds, to my ears, very much like a vocoder. While I'm sure this isn't exactly what's happening, I find it to be an interesting effect.
Apologies for not having come prepared with a sound example. May post one later today.
Anyway, I was just curious if anyone else gets the same impression.
Cheers.

Re: Stereo Center vs. Vocoder
The Stereo Center effect extracts the frequencies that are similar in both the left in right channel. It is not quite the same as a vocoder where the frequency envelope of one signal controls the envelope of the other, but it sounds similar.
