I get an XP Home "access violation" error upon exiting GW version 5.09 and 5.10. Not so with v5.08.
The issue is intermittent. v5.08 never unloaded its process from task manager. The new versions do, but with the above error.
Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.

Re: XP Home access violation error upon exit ...
Try using Start | Programs | GoldWave | GoldWave Setup and check the "Disable effect plug-ins" option to see if that helps.

That didn't work, Chris. I experiment with all the GW Setup switches to no avail. Any further suggestions?

The problem seems to be limited to your system configuration. Are you able to view the details of the error report to see if the error occurs in a certain module? What sound and video hardware does your system have?
Does the error occur only after using certain commands in GoldWave and closing the program, or does it occur by simply running and closing the program?

Thanks for the suggestions, Chris.
I'm a multimedia developer and don't have the time to problem-solve this issue. Twice a year I do a fresh install of XP, so I'm sure everything will be OK then, as usual.
For now, I'll just revert to v5.08.
