Combining 2 mono files into one stereo file

Post by jonwp »

I would like to combine 2 mono 16 bit binary audio files into 1 stereo wav file. I've been able to combine the 2 files into a single mono file by mixing the two, but I would like to keep then in separate channels. Is this possible with GoldWave? Thanks.

First, use File | Save As to save one of the mono files as stereo and update it. Next, open the other mono file and use Edit | Copy. Close that file, then use the Edit | Channel menu on the first file to select one of the channels. Finally, use Edit | Replace to replace that channel.
