Firstly, Goldwave is awesome, the best audio editor of all I have tried. But I would love it even more if I could select a part of the wave file, hold down Shift, and drag it: (1) elsewhere in the file, (2) to another file, or (3) to a new file. Also, maybe the Ctrl button and/or right mouse button could be used so you could choose whether to mix the selection, paste it, etc.

For me (and I'm guessing many other people), this would significantly speed up editing time, because the Cut, Copy, Paste, Copy to.. operations take considerably longer.
