Playback Marker problem

Postby HappyCat » Thu Nov 17, 2016 12:54 am

I've been having a problem with the playback marker (green line) today. While playing back the video, it is shown in the wrong location, to the left of the actual playback position. It moves to the right along with the playback, just not in the correct position. When I stop the playback, the line jumps to the correct position. When I click Resume, it jumps back to the left.

When I click Play All, it starts out to the left of the video, in the section where it says Track 1 and Track 2.

When I click Marker, it starts out to the left of the marker.

Today, this problem has been happening even when I restart VideoMeld from scratch and simply import a video clip into a new project. It happens regardless of which video clip I import.

I've seen this happen before, but I think that time, the problem went away. Today it keeps happening.

Any ideas what could be causing this or how to fix it?

I've figured out what is causing the problem. My system is Windows 8.1, 64 bit. Under Screen Resolution, "Make text and other items larger or smaller" aka "Change the size of all items", I have it set to "Medium - 125%". If I change it to "Smaller - 100% (default)", then all the parts of the VideoMeld window, including the "Track 1" / "Track 2" parts on the left side display smaller, and the playback marker works correctly.

I tried installing version 155 to another folder, and that version does not have the problem. However, even with my resolution setting at "Medium - 125%", the items in the VideoMeld window are smaller, like that version ignores the 125% setting - so that must be why it doesn't manifest the playback marker problem.

Still, that's a work-around for me - I'll use the 155 version until this problem can be fixed in the latest version.

Thanks for the follow-up. I'll check into that before the next update.
