I just purchased your program yesterday (9/23/06) for the purpose of adding mixed music to my Creative Zen. It worked great until I got to VBR Mp3 files. The waveform display is off (not a big deal). However, when the mix is saved as an Mp3 I get hugh amounts of silence at the end of each song (where there was none during the creation of the mix on screen).

I wish I had known about VBR issues prior to purchasing (maybe I didn't read far enough into your site).

Is my only choice to convert each file to a constant bitrate prior to using your program or is there any work underway in this area?

VBR will yield inconsistent results, due to its variable nature. However, I don't think that would explain "huge" amounts of silence at the end of the track. Can you give a bit more info (file types, lengths, etc.) on what you're mixing?
