Sync problem

Post by TheDufster »

Hi,

Not used MQ in a while. Just came back to it to create a "censored" version of a song. I wanted to get rid of the swearing and I managed to do this successfully using other parts of the song mixed over the bits I didn't want - using the fade facility.

It works perfectly well in MQ but when I save it to either MP3 or WAV it seems to run out if sync slightly and the bits I have edited don't work.

Any clues?

If you split the section (to remove parts of it) and you are working with variable bitrate MP3 files, that may affect synchronization. If you're editing just one file, GoldWave may be a better program to use.

I am working with one source file. However, I tried converting it to WAV first and then working with it. This seemed to work fine.

So to get over this, for future mixes I can just convert all my source files to WAV first.

WAV files actually seem to display better when zooming in anyway so I am happy with that.

Cheers
