vbscript information

I just wanted to add for clarity: VBscript is typically used to allow someone to manipulate actual objects and run commands in the binary executables of the program. This is much more powerful than batches and dos scripting. Someone writing a VBscript to control Goldwave would be able to instantiate...

This problem seems to be fixed!

I downloaded version 5.12 today (up from 5.10) and merged some files that were killing 5.10. They worked beautifully.

I have not done extensive testing, but the problem appears to be solved.

Many Thanks!!!

I just started a new batch of files and had the same strange behavior with Goldwave dying. Previously, I only had the one batch of files cause problems. This would be the second. All other sets have been fine. This problem batch is encoded as "MPEG Audio Layer-3, 22050 Hz, 56kbps, joint stereo&...

I tried again, just to be sure, and found that I still could not merge directly from '64k 22050 Hz stereo mp3' to '32k 22050 Hz mono mp3'. Goldwave simply disappeared and was gone. Some various results, including the above, follow: '64kbps 22050 Hz stereo mp3' to '32kbps 22050 Hz mono mp3' choked. '...

Thanks for taking the time to look at my issues. I am encoding these to mp3, "Layer-3, 22050 Hz, 32 kbps, mono" as they are spoken word, not music or instrumental or anything. I must admit, I didn't even attempt different formats because I've had this as my default format for some time now...

Minor and Major issues with File Merge

I first want to extend my sincere Thanks for implementing the File Merge. Since its inclusion, it's been one of my most used commands. A couple of minor issues, nice to fix, but not a big deal: 1. When adding files, make the path of the last added file the default file...open path. When I do a File....

information on ring tones

just a note, funformobile.com has a lot of information about different formats and the different cell phones. It can tell you which audio formats to use for different models of phones, etc. May be helpful, too.

Concatenate audio files

This request is probably so simple, it's below the radar for the manual, etc. I've looked through the manual and searched the forums, but haven't found anything. I would very simply like to take a bunch of separate mp3 files and concatenate them. I know I can open them all and paste them into a sing...
