The index numbers (and names) are in the order that you added the cue points, but that doesn't matter. The Split File feature always lists and processes cue points in their "position" order (it wouldn't make sense to split them out of order). You'll need to set "Cue naming" to &q...
I've checked the file system used and its NTFS on both drives. So this does not explain why GoldWave is keeping the original creation date on one drive but resetting it on the other. GoldWave runs exactly the same regardless of the drive. The question is why is Windows retaining the creation date o...
GoldWave creates a new file when saving. If the file is saved successfully, the original is deleted and the new file is renamed to the original. If there is an error, the original is retained and the incomplete new file is deleted. In either case, there are no extra files. I believe this issue is re...
No need for concern. Your Wave files will work for a long, long time, but no one controls or enforces the standard anymore. Even Microsoft ignores glaring errors in poorly formed Wave files. When you save a file, you are not saving over the original directly. A new file is created to preserve the original in case an error occurs or the user cancels saving. GoldWave has always worked that way, so it is curious that you are noticing it only now.
That currently isn't possible. You could use the File Merger tool to join all the files together, then use the Auto Cue feature to split the large file later.
If you adjust the view as I mentioned BEFORE pressing the playback button for unselected playback, it works fine. You don't need to drag the playback marker at all. Zooming and scrolling the view once is easier than grabbing the moving playback marker every time.
The new GoldWave update ignore the case of chunk ids entirely. The Wave standard is practically defunct now, so no point in trying to enforce it anymore. Let's see how that works out.
Simply select the left channel and use File | Save Selection As . That will save the left channel only. Be sure to select "stereo" attributes with the Attributes button if you want a stereo file. Or you can use Effect | Stereo | Channel Mixer to replace the right channel with the left chan...
